Sam Lake is currently devoting his attention to Alan Wake 2, however, he hinted at being involved with the remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2 that Remedy is developing. In an interview with VGC, Lake expressed the enormity of revamping the old games to meet current gaming standards and merge them into one.

He described the project as "a significant undertaking" and a "big, big project". The possibility of Lake reprising his Max Payne role in the remakes was brought up but his response was "No comment". Given that he is providing voice acting for a character in Alan Wake 2, it isn't out of the question for him to lend his voice to Max Payne as well.
