Gmail has recently enhanced its Summary Cards feature, providing a fresh design and added functionality. This update aims to improve the organization of information from related emails, categorizing them into four main groups: Purchases, Events, Bills, and Travel. Users will benefit from the ability to manage and act upon their messages without needing to open each individual email. Currently, the Purchase Summary Cards are being rolled out for those using Gmail on Android and iOS devices, while the other categories and a new section named “Happening soon” are anticipated to be released in the following months>

The tech giant announced these enhancements through a blog post outlining what users can expect from the revamped Summary Cards. Previously, Gmail included Summary Cards in emails, offering snippets of information prominently at the top. With this new update, users will see a refreshed appearance along with action buttons that enable them to quickly add events to their calendars, invite others, or set reminders for bill payments.

The updated Summary Cards will be organized into categories like Purchases, Events, Bills, and Travel. The Purchases card allows users to keep track of packages, review order details, and gain insight into their orders. Meanwhile, the Events card provides quick access to information regarding upcoming occasions. Bills offer a system for overseeing and processing payments upcoming bills, as well as set due dates. The Travel category assists users in managing booking details and travel itineraries.

Google emphasizes that the Summary Cards will visually streamline essential information derived from all associated emails. This design will enable users to quickly obtain relevant details, monitor their latest status, and take necessary action efficiently.

In conjunction with the Summary Cards, Google has launched a new 'Happening soon' section at the top of inboxes. This section will display Purchase Summary Cards and will only appear when it is applicable to the user.
