Elden Ring: NightReign Network Test Faces Server Challenges Ahead of Launch

The forthcoming Elden Ring: NightReign Network Test is generating significant anticipation, especially among fans of FromSoftware’s creations. However, the studio is facing some challenges ahead of the official launch scheduled for 30 May, as they must ensure their infrastructure is equipped to manage a substantial surge of players.

The exclusive Network Test for Elden Ring: NightReign has already encountered issues, with servers becoming overwhelmed within the first hour. Many participants selected for this testing phase were unable to connect. FromSoftware acknowledged these difficulties through their support account on X, indicating that a restart of the servers would be necessary to manage the connection overload.

The game promises exciting multiplayer experiences, allowing groups of up to three players to collaborate against some formidable adversaries drawn from Elden Ring and other titles by FromSoftware, all set in a reimagined version of Limgrave within The Lands Between. Our experiences during a recent closed event left us impressed.

The Network Test is scheduled to run today until 15:00 CET, with another session planned for tomorrow at 4:00 CET. Below is the complete schedule:

  • First session: Today until 15:00 CET
  • Second session: Tomorrow at 4:00 CET
