Arrowhead Promises Major Balancing Updates for Helldivers II After Player Feedback

Helldivers II continues to be one of the standout titles of the year. However, since its release, the third-person cooperative shooter has faced some criticism, primarily related to the balancing decisions made by Arrowhead. The rationale behind altering the performance of beloved weapons in a player-versus-environment setting has puzzled many players. Fortunately, the developer is responding to this feedback.

In a recent announcement on Steam, Arrowhead reiterated its commitment to a 60-day strategy aimed at rejuvenating the experience in Helldivers II. Now, with the updates on the horizon, gamers can look forward to significant changes. Scheduled for release on the 17th of September, an extensive patch will enhance aspects like armour penetration and the effectiveness of anti-tank weapons, along with other improvements to various firearms to increase their utility in combat.

In addition, certain adversaries such as Hulks, Impalers, Gunships, Devastators, and Bile Titans are set to receive adjustments to their power levels. This aims to provide players with a more balanced chance of survival during missions. The upcoming modifications will be keenly observed, especially since Arrowhead has been conducting closed beta tests over the past couple of weekends, gathering player input to refine these changes further.
