Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2 Has Seemingly Leaked – Rumour

The release of Cold Iron Studios' co-op game, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, in 2021 received fair reviews, and now, a sequel seems to be in the pipeline. An apparent official document leaked on one of Reddit's forums suggests the unfolding development of a sequel, referred to as Project Mocando, within Cold Iron Studios.

The document outlines the studio's aims with Project Mocando, including enhancements to the overall gaming experience in intrigue, mechanics, and ambiance. It also outlines plans for a cooperative play campaign for two players, expected to last between 8 and 12 hours. A novel game model, 'Annihilation Mode,' set to provide different targets and experiences, draws inspiration from the original game's Horde Mode.

Interestingly, the sequel will not continue with the customizable characters feature adopted by the first game. Instead, five distinct characters, each equipped with their distinctive abilities and weaponry, will form the new game's backbone.

Despite the preliminary stage highlighted in the document, there isn't an allusion to incorporating microtransactions or loot boxes into the game. Even the implementation of downloadable content (DLC) after the official launch is still being determined at this point. Project Mocando's proposed aspects could potentially change in response to its advancing development stages. This raises the anticipation for fans eager to watch its journey and wait for the official announcement.
